ACL 1901 |
Description: |
Another current restoration project at Steamtown is this historic SW-1, constructed by the Electro Motive Corporation in 1939. First tested on the Atlantic Coast Line, it was soon rejected and resold to the Richmond Terminal Railroad. Over the years, through its various owners, it slowly worked its way up the east coast of the United States, finally coming to Pennsylvania in the 1970s under ownership of the Towanda Monroeton Shippers Lifeline. |

Once a restoration project at Steamtown, but now looking a little lost out in the big yard, is this classic SW-1, built in 1939 by EMC. |
