MNCW 1171 |
Description: |
One of two surviving NYC ACMU cars, "AC" standing for air conditioning which was a more recent development for New York Central commuters at the time. Built by Pullman-Standard in 1965, these cars saw service out of Grand Central north to Croton Harmon and North White Plains. Metro North retired the last of these units in the early 2000s after a little over forty years of operation. |
