Description:  FM. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of a photo by Fred McLeod that was taken near East Liberty, Pennsylvania, in April of 1948. Photo Caption: "Class H Consolidation engine on way-freight near East Liberty, Pa., April, 1948." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7784, an H-8SA (2-8-0) built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8A in July of 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-8SA in October of 1918, and retired in June of 1948 after 38 years of service. This photo comes from a B&W slide set entitled "Horseshoe Curve, Pennsylvania Railroad" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (22-18).

Description:  Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Rodney Peterson that was taken in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 8 December 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7076 and three more "Geeps" whose road numbers are not recorded. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7076 was constructed in November of 1956.

Description:  Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Rodney Peterson that was taken in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 8 December 1962. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9807 and two more "EF" Class units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9807 is an EF-15A constructed in April of 1951 and retired in October of 1967 after just 16 years of revenue service.

Description:  Here is page eight of a nine-page cover article by Bert Pennypacker entitled "The Mass-Production Ten-Wheeler." It was published originally in the October 1973 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 27. Top Photo Caption: "Performing in the service for which she was built, G-5s No. 3064 cruises with a Pittsburgh-bound 'Pitcairn Local' on Sunday afternoon, April 4, 1948, near the East Liberty station." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3064, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during September of 1923 and retired in July of 1950. Bottom Photo Caption: "The daily Philadelphia-Oxford (Pa.) accommodation, which used the electrified Westchester Branch as far as Wawa, usually was in the charge of G-5s 1592. Outbound, the train showered commuters and was known as 'Smoky Joe.' Inbound, it was known as the 'Mushroom Train.'" Shown here is PRR engine #1592, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during August of 1923 and retired in December of 1949.
