Album Info:The Eastern Alabama Railway (EARY) was a late 1980s spin-off of CSX comprising a broken piece of the original L&N Mineral Belt which circled and fed the steel making in Birmingham, AL. As L&N fell under the Family Lines System and later CSX, the branch was turned over to the Kyle RR family of shortlines as the EARY. Later Kyle was bought by RailAmerica, bringing the EARY into the fold.

Description:  The intraprlant switcher in the background is Georgia Marble #3 (under Imerys Pigments, Inc.) in Jay Reed's CGTIL where it's listed as an 80 ton Davenport (3344, 10/52), ex-Budd Co. #3, nee-USA #1621. There is a photo of it as USA #1621 (where it's called a 65 tonner) on page MISC-372 of the Kalmbach Diesel Spotters Guide, second edition (1973). Thanks to MSW for information.
