Southbound Manifest With Power Problems  Contributor's Pick!
I like SD40-2's. I like ex-C&EI/MP Units. I don't like ex-C&EI/MP SD40-2's that belong to leasers and aren't taken care of, like LTEX 9898 which shut down while at the crew change, causing the crew to bad order the second unit and left the dispatcher scrambling to find new power, which took about 3 hours to show up. Here the locomotives have cut off their train and prepare to head south light. The second unit was set out at Bernie.

David Mead General What lens or filter did you use - the "starburst" effect is stunning and of course you can never go wrong with some "yellow" in night shots - warm feel about this study. 2/25/2007 6:12:17 PM
Zach Pumphery General Thanks a lot for the comments, David. I appreciate a little international attention from the UK. Your subjects across the pond also intrigue me. Thanks for the views. I actually didn't use a filter for this one, it was an 8 second exposure with the f-stop down at 3.2 and the image light compensation at -2.0. 2/26/2007 4:06:14 PM
