NJT E8A #4285 - New Jersey Transit
Here's another view of former NYC E8A #4080 serving in commuter service for the New Jersey Transit. According to photos in the RRPA database, this loco went on to a few other rosters and as late as 2015, it was back in the former NYC lighning stripe paint scheme while wearing the number RPCX #4080. Unfortunately,no photographer, location or exact day in 1981 was given for the photo. With help from Steve Coraggio & Tom Beckett (see comments below), the location is now identified as South Amboy, NJ. Thanks guys for your help!!!

Steve Coraggio General Grea station shot with the engineer looking out the cab window, train crew memebr on the platfrom.. I also believe this is South Amboy, NJ judging from the tracks and pedestrian bridge which is now gone. 7/9/2024 8:05:09 PM
Tom Beckett General South Amboy. Looks like the trailing unit is one of the NJT white scheme units-there were two, 4323 and 4334-running elephant style, which was unusual. 7/10/2024 4:37:14 AM
