Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Hornerstown, New Jersey, on 30 December 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5244, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during February of 1916 and retired on 15 July 1959 after 43 years of faithful service. In this context, it's hauling a three-car local freight train. Coupled next to the tender is PRR N-6B cabin car #982186. Wave to the Engineman! |
