Stripped of its bells and front number plate, Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 Mikado #390 awaits its final moments with the scrapper's torch. Built by Alco-Schenectady in July of 1919 as CM&StP #8689, it was later renumbred to MILW #390 in 1938. It was officially retired in June of 1953. No photographer was listed for this last photo of it before disappearing as scrap metal.
