Here is page 31 of a 78-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "Those Amazing Class 'D' Locomotives." It was issued originally in June of 1981. Shown here is engine #10, a D-12A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops for the West Jersey Railroad during April of 1890, renumbered as Pennsylvania Railroad "6010" in March of 1904, rebuilt as a D-13C, and sold to Julius Caplan in August of 1923 after 33 years of faithful service. |
