Portraits 5. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via Arthur B. Johnson that was taken at Union Station in Englewood, Illinois, on 10 January 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6111, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during May of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of revenue service. It's the second of the two prototype T-1's built by Baldwin. (#40 of 40) |
