Built by Lima in May of 1924 (serial #6863, class U-3b), this hefty 0-8-0 yard switcher served the Nickel Plate Road for nearly 28 years. The loco was eventually sold for scrap to the Luntz Iron & Steel Company on 12/12/1952. The photo is from the Howard W. Ameling collection. |
