| A CN local approaches Millview Dr. and passes Arrowhead Park (background) as it heads southwest via former joint MILW/SOO rails at Neenah, WI, on 19 Jun. '20. Arrowhead Park stands atop a closed paper sludge landfill. Before the landfill was opened in the '50s, the south shore of Little Lake Butte des Morts came right up to these tracks. The Fox Valley Energy Center (formerly Minergy Fox Valley Glass Aggregate Plant) used to stand in the background, until demolition was completed in the spring of '16. Opened in Jan. '98, it had stood idle since 15 Jun. '13. |
