Is this the RR that used to work the St.Regis Paper Co. pulpwood operation in Waddington, NY ?? I was there with my father in the 60s. They pulled strings of gons with cable and winches past a pair of crains that unloaded hoops of pulp wood from ships out of Canada. Seems like the RR had a different name then?? /DL

Sort of, the line from Norwood to Ogdensburg was owned by the OBPA and called the Ogdensburg & Norwood railway using former Rutland trackage. The Norwood to Waddington line was the Norwood & St. Lawrence Railroad. They were combined in 1975 and the trackage between Norfolk and Waddington is gone. The OBPA has leased this railroad to various owners over the years, currenty Vermont Rail System.
