| Here we see one of the electrical contractor's employees preparing the wiring for the eventual arrival of the derail machine for Track 2 at the east end. If memory serves, I *think* this derail may have been re-positioned later to the opposite rail. All the derail equipment is bi-directional with the exception of the connecting rods - they must be ordered in near rail or far rail lengths. Note: The large gray wire strung along the tie is a grounding conductor and has nothing to do with the derail wiring. |
