SP 4-8-0 #2935 "Mastodon" - Southern Pacific  Contributor's Pick!       
This 4-8-0 "Mastodon" (Twelve-Wheeler) type steam locomotive was built by the SP's own Sacramento Shops in 1892. Specs -TW-3 class, 50" drivers, 170 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders The exact day in 1937 is not known. The photo is from the A. Parsons collection.
