Early morning sun makes the red nose of the 9006 really stand out. This is an empty train on the curves at Kyune. The downhill grade increases to 2.4% here. In steam engine days, a wye was in use at Kyune to turn the helper engines. The 9006 was built in 1970 for the Chesapeake & Ohio and was sold to the Wisconsin & Southern in 2009. |
