Vintage. Here is a photo of a replica of the "John Stevens ~ First Steam Locomotive ~ 1825." This replica was fabricated at the Altoona Works. Despite the pistons and cog wheels, this locomotive is basically just a wagon with a boiler and a water barrel. The "John Stevens" replica is now on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. |
