That thing has 3 fans, are you sure it's not a GP40 of somesorts?

3892 was indeed built as a GP40. It was rebuilt as a GP38AC by GATX at which time the turbo was removed. Please notice the air filter box behind the inertial filters. This filter configuration is used only on blown engines such as the GP38!
