| BWCX. Here is the first of five successive original photos that I took at the Berwind-White Railroad Car Shops in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 21 July 1961. Shown here is the Vulcan 0-4-0T steam locomotive named "Nancy." The builder's badge specifies "Vulcan Locomotive Works ~ 1918." This locomotive was retired during the Winter of 1963-1964, so it served faithfully for 46 years! In this context, it's parked at its usual spot between the Car Shop and the Power Plant's coal wharf. |
