Former PRR depot, London OH
The former PRR depot at London OH, looking east towards Columbus. The old Pennsy Panhandle main runs in front; it doesn't go much further west before turning into a rail trail. The NYC, now used by the NS, is behind. The signals guard the point where the NS comes off the old Pennsy line and turns onto the NYC for Dayton and Cincinnati. Passenger traffic wasn't very heavy here even in 1950; the NYC, who had an adjacent depot, only had on train a day stop while several other Cincinnati-Cleveland trains ran through. Pennsy wasn't much better as while the schedule shows up to eight Pittsburgh-St Louis trains ran by without stopping although a Columbus-Richmond local did stop at 2:37PM eastbound and 9:10PM eastbound.
