RDG 92938 |
Description: |
Any visitors to Hersheypark between 1969 and 2015 will recognize this wood sized caboose, which was used for a variety of purposes throughout the park over the years. Built in 1942, at a time when the use of steel was heavily regulated due to the war effort, the car was a donation to the Hershey Company, one of the larger customers on the Reading system. Out of fifty cars constructed in that era, it is only one of a few to survive into the modern era. |
