According to one source, this loco was originally built by Alco-Pittsburgh in August 1893 as Kansas City Fort Scott & Memphis #154 (serial #1479), renumbered to SL-SF 514 in 1902. It appears to be in a storage or scrap line at Chaffee, MO. No photographer was listed for the photo.

Title:  SLSF 4-6-0 #1111 - St Louis-San Francisco (Firsco)
Description:  This loco looks sharp and clean as it sits in an unknown location. Built by Alco-Schenectady in March of 1907 as Colorado Southern, New Orleans & Pacific #1111 but was used entirely on the SLSF.The loco lasted until being scrapped in June of 1951 at the Springfield Yard in Missouri. Specs - serial #42313, class 1100, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 188,850 lb, tractive effort of 28,300 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximates were used.
