Title:
M&B crossing the Tombigbee-1
Description:
The Meridian & Bigbee runs east out of its Meridian MS home about 51 miles to a connection with the L&N at Myrtlewood Alabama. At milepost 46 it passes through Naheola AL and then crosses the Tombigbee River over a dual-use bridge. Here the daily freight is shown approaching the east end of the structure behind the usual two Geeps. Note the 10 ton bridge limit- which applies to wheel traffic and not the railroad. The red light signal is for road traffic.

Title:
M&B crossing the Tombigbee-2
Description:
The M&B's daily freight to the L&N connection at Myrtlewood comes off the eastern approaches of the Tombigbee River bridge behind two Geeps. The red signal tells auto and truck traffic not to enter the dual-use bridge while a train is approaching.
