Stay clear from falling taconite.
Title:  Stay clear from falling taconite.
Description:  902 South flies through the sky over Kimbles Viaduct. Note to self: Taconite hurts from that height. This bridge, part of the Porter Cutoff, was built in the time frame of 1916-1928 to reduce the grade and the curvature in this area. The main line is now 1.8 miles shorter from Filer to Coolspring. You can sort of see the ghost of the former double main running parallel to Scrubgrass Rd. between the two bridge piers. For more historical info and photos, check this site: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~galat002/mrr/Kimbles%20History.htm

Foam!!! :-P
Title:  Foam!!! :-P
Description:  Once a mighty junction with the Western Allegheny/Pennsy RR, all that is here today is one lonely main line. RRPA contributors Christopher Southwell and Jon Clark chimp their shots as 902 South continues to North Bessemer.
