Album Info:The Pennsylvania Railroad often referred to itself as the "Standard Railroad of the World" and to millions of rail travelers, millions of servicemen during World War II, and railfans for over 80 years, the Class K-4s was, and to many still is, the "Standard Passenger Locomotive". These are b&w photos that J.R.Quinn took of the PRR k-4's.

Description:  Powerful, fast and reliable are three wods that explain why this K-4s 4-6-2 Pacific class dominated Pennsy passenger service for decades. Built by the PRR Juniata Shops in June of 1923 (serial #3765), it ran service for nearly 25 years before being scrapped in April of 1948 when diesels began appearing on the system. J.R.
